The Welchman Hall, St Thomas community can look forward to LND Cartdooment as an unofficial part of the Crop Over Festival calendar.

The second iteration of the event took place last Sunday, with music and hornblaring announcing the enthusiastic revellers long before they could be seen.

As the parade, made up mostly of children, weaved its way through the nearby avenues, organiser Lisa Walcott, the owner of LND Kitchen and Bar, confirmed her intention of hosting Cartdooment – Kadooment along cart roads – every year as she also thanked those who assisted.

This year, funds collected from the event will be donated to a young man who is suffering from rare tumours.
