The Barbados Derby event has been postponed following overnight weather that left the track unsuitable for racing.

In a statement issued this morning, the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) said the decision was made based on advice from the Barbados Turf Club, which assessed the condition of the track and deemed it unfit for competition.

Organisers have apologised for the inconvenience and thanked patrons and tourism partners for their understanding.

A new date for the event is currently under consideration and will be announced once confirmed.
