VIDEO: Calypso Monarch Mr Blood

MC Mac Fingall announced Mr Blood had, according to the judges, outperformed all of the other contestants in the Courtesy Pic O De Crop calypso competition at the National Botanical Gardens.

In second place was former King iWeb, De Announcer was third and defending monarch Adrian “AC” Clarke fourth.

“Mr Blood” was joined on stage by fellow calypsonians from De Big Show.

As he belted out winning song Don’t Wait, which speaks about honouring calypsonians while they are still alive, he gave props to writer Billboard Murrell, another finalist in this year’s Courtesy Pic O De Crop calypso competition, who came forward to share in the moment.
