A man who has the dubious distinction of being before at least seven different magistrates in his lifetime, was remanded to prison by the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Shiamar Tashaka Jehamas Callender, 40, a labourer, of Deacons Farm, St Michael, admitted he stole two sheep, valued at $1 000, belonging to Stephen Grant between February 16 and 17 this year.
Callender blamed his 28 previous convictions on his past cocaine habit.
“From since I was 16 I was smoking crack,” he told the court. “I went prison every single year. Every time I come before you, you tell me I only know I want rehab when I coming court.
