Police officer critical after highway collision

A police officer is in critical condition after his motorcycle collided with an SUV this afternoon on the ABC Highway.

Reports indicate the officer sustained serious injuries and is receiving urgent medical attention. The occupants of the SUV were not badly hurt.

That section of the highway has been blocked, and motorists are being advised to expect delays.

More details will be provided as it comes to hand.
