Motorcycle engulfed in flames during collision

Update: A police motorcyclist was injured in a collision along the K.N.R. Husbands Highway near the junction with Farm Road, St Peter, around 6:13 p.m. on Sunday, September 21.

Investigations revealed the motorcyclist was travelling towards Mullins when he collided with a motorcar heading from Mullins towards Farm Road.

The injured officer was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment.

Police say investigations are ongoing and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the District “E” Police Station at 419-1730 or 419-1731.

There are reports of a serious accident at the junction of Diamond Rock Corner and the KNR Husbands Highway in St Peter.

Initial reports indicate that the collision happened between a police motorcyclist and a car.
