Ex-cop tells of accused’s arrest

Shane Jamal Cox will give his defence tomorrow when his rape and robbery trial continues in the No. 4 Supreme Court.

Cox, of Passage Gardens, Passage Road, St Michael, is accused of robbing a woman of her $450 gold chain and $120 ring on June 18, 2018 as well as having sexual intercourse with her without her consent on the same date.

He is being represented by attorneys Rita Evans and Ensley Grainger, while Principal State Counsel Rudolph Burnett and Senior State Counsel Kevin Forde are prosecuting.

Yesterday, the State closed its case after calling its final witness.
