Man shot and killed in Bayville

Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred along Sandbox Avenue, Bayville, St Michael, on Monday night.

According to reports, the incident took place around 10:10 p.m. when a man was sitting on the bonnet of a car and was approached by an armed individual wearing a mask. The assailant reportedly fired several shots, hitting the victim.

The injured man was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private vehicle, where he later succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified by relatives as 36-year-old Akil Hinds of Sandbox Avenue, Bayville, St Michael.

Investigations are ongoing.
