Man charged with assaulting teacher granted bail

A 37-year-old man was released on bail today after being charged in connection with the assault of a teacher at Charles F Broome Memorial Primary School earlier this month.

Kemar Andre Boyce of Eversley Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes charged with assaulting Jalessa Carrington-Bennett on October 7, 2025.

He was granted bail in the sum of $7 000 and will return to Criminal Court No.1 of the Bridgetown Magistrates’ Court on January 22, 2026.
