Queen’s College, Harrison College set for U19 Basketball final

Harrison College A is the final obstacle standing between title favourites Queen’s College and championship glory in the Co-operators General Insurance National Sports Council Under-19 Basketball Competition, which concludes today at the Sir Garfield Sobers Gymnasium.

In Tuesday’s semi-final, Queen’s College advanced with a commanding 76–59 victory over Combermere School, propelled by a game-high 24 points from Zane Gaskin. Kemani Maynard added a valuable 13 points. Combermere’s offence was led by Nathan Griffith, who scored 19 points, while teammates Leandro Gibson and Seraph Howard chipped in with 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Harrison College were similarly dominant in their semi-final matchup, easing past Barbados Community College (BCC) with an 89–64 win. Issac Griffith and Jalani Marshall spearheaded the attack, posting 26 and 25 points apiece. For BCC, Washawn Bayley contributed 15 points, and Nathan Johnson added 12 in a losing effort. (JC)
