Andrew Henry Mark Anthony Phillips was adamant that his previous gun and ammunition convictions had been expunged.

He said he got the relevant paperwork, handed it over to his attorney and had then been assured, by a magistrate, that they were gone.
However, when Detective Constable Damian Beckles read Phillips’ conviction card, those two offences were still on it, along with kidnapping and two drug convictions.
As a result, Justice Carlisle Greaves ordered an investigation before he sentenced him for his newest gun offences.
