Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at Hillview Close in Cave Hill on Monday morning.
According to police reports, the Operations Control Room received a call around 10:40 a.m. indicating that a shooting had taken place in the area.
Officers responded and preliminary investigations revealed that a man was sitting on a bucket outside a residence when two armed men exited a brown motor car and opened fire.
The victim was struck during the attack and was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private vehicle.
However, he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Police say investigations into the matter are ongoing.
