Man in critical condition after shooting in The Pine

A man is in urgent need of blood after being shot last night in The Pine, St Michael.

The Nation understands the young man, 26-years-old, who works in the public healthcare system, was walking along the road when he was approached from behind. 

The assailant shot him three times – twice in the back and once in the hand – before making good his escape.

The victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he underwent surgery this morning. It is understood there was extensive damage to one hip and the hand was broken in three places.
