One man killed, another injured at Skeetes Road

One man is dead in the wake of a shooting incident around 2:10 a.m. today at Skeetes Road, Jackmans, St Michael.

Police arrived on the scene to find the body lying between two vehicles in the vicinity of where an event was being held, a media release said.

Medical assistance was sought, a medical doctor visited the scene and pronounced death. Another male was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private motor car.

Investigations are continuing and police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information that might assist them, to please contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1800-8477, Police Emergency at 211 or the District A Police Station at 430-7242 or 430-7246. (PR/SAT)
