Haynesville stabbing victim identified

The man who died in an altercation at Haynesville, St. James, yesterday, was identified by a relative as Andre Sylvester Maynard.

Initial police investigations showed that Maynard, 38, of Redmans Village, St Thomas, was in a dispute with another man and succumbed to stab wounds.

Ambulance personnel visited the scene, examined the body and discovered no signs of life. A medical doctor later examined him and pronounced death. A person of interest is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
