Man charged after cannabis seizure valued at $312 000

Marvin Selwyn Walcott, 50-years-old, of Bamboo Road, St Lawrence, Christ Church was charged with possession of cannabis, trafficking cannabis and intent to supply cannabis, following an incident on May 15, 2026. Police said the suspected cannabis weighed approximately 78 kilogrammes, with an estimated street value of $312,000 Barbados currency.

He appeared before Magistrate Bernadeth John in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court on today and was not required to plead to the indictable offences and was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds).

He is scheduled to reappear in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 29.
