The Central Bank of Barbados says a number of pension payments remain outstanding as of 2:45 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026.
The Bank said 91 public sector pensions due on June 26 and 684 National Insurance pensions due on June 29 have not yet been paid.
It said it is working with the National Insurance and Social Security Service, Government agencies and financial institutions to complete the remaining payments as quickly as possible.
The Central Bank explained that the delays are linked to account validation and processing issues that must be corrected before payments can be released.
It added that all parties are treating the matter as urgent and are working to ensure affected pensioners receive their funds without further delay.
Pensioners who have not yet received payment are being advised to contact the National Insurance and Social Security Service at 467-4647 and to have their National Registration Number and pension details available.
The Bank also warned the public not to pay anyone to correct account information or to facilitate the release of pension payments.
It apologised for the inconvenience caused and said further updates will be provided as payments are processed. (CentralBankofBarbados)
