A section of Flagstaff Road, St Michael, will be closed to through traffic on Saturday as the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) carries out work to remove a broken retaining wall.
The closure will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on August 29, affecting the section of road leading down the hill towards Forde’s Road.
Local access will be permitted during the works, but through traffic will not be allowed.
Motorists entering Flagstaff Road from Highway 6 in Wildey or Forde’s Road and intending to continue straight through will be required to use an alternative route.
MTW said the temporary closure is necessary to facilitate the removal of the damaged retaining wall and has asked residents and motorists for their patience and cooperation.
The ministry has also apologised for any inconvenience caused by the works. (PR/MTW)
