With No. 1 seed Julian “Michael Jackson” White defaulting to teenager Ahijah Blunt due to illness, fourth seed Hinds whipped Ashton Blackett 21-11, 21-9 with total flair and style. Rain had washed out the first two nights of the tournament organised by Touch of Class.
Fans are already anticipating a possible clash between Hinds and teenage sensation Shakeen Nurse.
On Tuesday night, in blazing attacks, Nurse dismissed Jim “The Nut Man” Haynes 21-8, 21-8. (KB)
