Two new positive COVID cases

A 38-year-old female who arrived on JetBlue on November 14, was the only COVID-19-positive case among 482 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Monday.

The woman, who arrived from the USA with a valid negative test, was diagnosed with the viral illness after undergoing a second test. No one was discharged from isolation.

The number of confirmed cases on Monday stood at 251, comprising 133 females and 118 males. There were six persons in isolation and the number of recoveries was 238.

The public health laboratory had conducted 42 819 tests.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old Barbadian man is the latest person to be diagnosed with COVID-19. He arrived on JetBlue on November 17, and was asymptomatic.

He was the only positive case out of 316 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory yesterday.

One person will be released from isolation today. As a result, there are six people in isolation, 239 people recovered and confirmed cases now stand at 252, comprising 133 females and 119 males. There were seven deaths.

The laboratory completed 43 135 tests. (BGIS)
