Town Hall Meetings on 11+

The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training (METVT) will host a series of town hall meetings for parents and guardians of pupils preparing to sit the 2021 Barbados Secondary School Entrance Examination (BSSEE).

These sessions are being held to sensitise parents and teachers about the processes involved in the administration of the BSSEE, also known as the Common Entrance Exam.

The first three meetings will take place on Wednesday, December 2, at Cuthbert Moore Primary, St Helen’s, St. George; Wesley Hall Infants and Junior School, King Street, St Michael; and Eden Lodge Primary, Eden Lodge, St Michael.

On Saturday, December 5, meetings will be held at the Princess Margaret Secondary, Six Roads, St Philip; Grantley Adams Memorial School, Blackmans, St Joseph; and Roland Edwards Primary, Battaleys, St Peter.

The third set of meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, December 9, at The Lester Vaughn School, Cane Garden, St Thomas; West Terrace Primary, West Terrace, St James; and St Martins Mangrove Primary, St Martins, St Philip.

Another three meetings will be held on Saturday, December 12, at the Christ Church Foundation School, Church Hill, Christ Church; Daryll Jordan Secondary, Trents, St Lucy; and St John Primary, Glebe Land, St. John.

The sessions continue on Wednesday, January 6, at The St Michael School, Martindales Road, St Michael; Bay Primary, Bay Gardens, Bayville, St Michael; and St George Primary, Constant, St George.

The final meetings will be held on Saturday, January 9, at Gordon Walters Primary, Bright Hill, St Patricks, Christ Church; A. Dacosta Edwards, Belleplaine, St Andrew; and Mount Tabor Primary School, Mount Tabor, St John.

All meetings are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., and people are reminded that COVID-19 protocols will be in effect. (BGIS)
