Three women test positive for COVID

Three female visitors were diagnosed with COVID-19 after undergoing second tests.

The cases identified among the 405 tests conducted yesterday by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory are a 52-year-old who arrived on British Airways on November 20 as well as a 48-year-old and a 30-year-old who came in on American Airlines on November 23 and 24, respectively. All three were asymptomatic.

As a result, there are now 13 people in insolation, bringing the total confirmed cases to 266 – 140 females and 126 males.

Meanwhile, three persons recovered and will be released from isolation today, bringing the number of recoveries to 246. There were seven deaths since the first case was recorded.

To date, the laboratory has conducted 46 028 tests. (BGIS)
