The Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) extended condolences to the family of Brian Moore who died after sustaining injuries in an accident at the Arawak Cement Company Ltd (ACCL) in Checker Hall, St Lucy.
Moore and Vincent Ellis were both burnt while on the job over the weekend. The former is said to have sustained burns over 90 per cent of his body.
In a statement, the BWU said they were saddened by the untimely loss.
“This is an extremely tragic situation and our thoughts and prayers are with both of their families, especially Brian’s family, who is now grieving the loss of a loved one. Sincerest condolences to Brian’s family, friends and the comrades at ACCL from the Executive Council and staff of the BWU. May he sleep in peace.” (PR/SAT)
