Four people, including a mother and daughter, did not get to herald in the new year at home, after they were remanded to HMP Dodds on Thursday on serious bodily harm charges.

John Kado Carrington, 45, of Lower Station Hill; Ammara Zhane Sabrina Moore, 20, of Free Hill, Black Rock; Jalissa Brittany Diamond Edwards, 20, of Strakers Road, Black Rock; and Amanda Yolande Sabrina Moore, 40, of Free Hill, Black Rock, all in St Michael, were not required to plead that they did cause serious bodily harm to Shontelle Applewhaite with intent to maim, disfigure or disable her on December 23.

Prosecutor Sergeant Vernon Waithe objected to bail in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court. He said the complainant had been seriously injured, was hospitalised but seemed to have been discharged, and would have to see a number of specialists. (RA)
