The Ministry of Health and Wellness on Thursday responded to complaints about COVID-19 test results. The statement follows.

“The Ministry of Health and Wellness is aware of the numerous complaints from the public about the receipt of their COVID-19 test results.

“Due to a much larger than usual number of tests being run daily, occasioned by the recent spike in cases, there is a delay in the compilation and dissemination of results, even with the assignment of additional personnel in both areas.

“The ministry apologises for any discomfort and inconvenience caused to those persons who would have had to wait beyond the stipulated timeframe for receiving results after a test.

“The assigned personnel of the Ministry of Health and Wellness continue to work assiduously on this issue to be able to provide results, schedule tests and respond to the public in an efficient and timely manner.

“Thank you for your patience and support.” (BGIS)
