The parishes of St John and Christ Church will be targeted for fogging as the Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness continues its mosquito eradication efforts this week.

The Unit will start with districts in St John on Monday, March 8, when they go into Massiah Street, Lovell Road, Stewart Hill, Rosegate, and environs.

The next day, Tuesday, March 9, the team will head into Christ Church, where they will remain for the rest of the week. They will concentrate their efforts in Fairy Valley, Holbourne Terrace, Wilcox Hill, Chancery Lane, and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, March 10, Almond Row, Sunrise Road, Old Chancery Lane, Sunrise Rise, Arawak Road, Park Road, Cassia Drive, Seaview Road, Golden Plover Road, and neighbouring districts will be fogged.

The following day, Thursday, March 11, the Unit will focus on Inch Marlow, Coral Avenue, Jasper Avenue, Pearl Avenue, Walls Road, Round Rock, Breedy’s Land, Ealing Park South, and environs.

Fogging for the week will conclude on Friday, March 12, in Sayers Court, St Christopher, Upper Bournes Land, Silver Sands, Lisbonville, Green Gardens, and surrounding areas.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter.

Members of the public are asked to note that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time. (BGIS)
