Barbados senior men’s national football team left the island today to set up a two-week training camp ahead of their FIFA WORLD CUP 2022 qualification campaign.

Twenty homegrown players checked in at the Grantley Adams International Airport today around 11a.m. before boarding a charter flight bound for the Dominican Republic.

Barbados will begin their quest to qualify on March 26 versus No.78-ranked Panama before playing against Anguilla on March 30.

The Tridents were drawn in Group D in the opening round of the qualifiers and will also take on Dominica and the Dominican Republic in June.

Overseas based players Ryan Trotman, Nick Blackman, Krystian Pearce and Omani Leacock will join the squad later this week. (AGB)
