Magnitude 4.9 earthquake recorded

The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre in Trinidad has recorded an earthquake at magnitude 4.9.

A notice posted on the Centre’s Facebook Page today said the earthquake was recorded at 9:19 a.m. at Latitude: 16.62N, longitude: 60.77W and at a depth of 10 km.

In the preliminary automated results, the notice said the effects of the earthquake would have been felt in Guadeloupe, Antigua and Barbuda and Dominica. (KG)
