Third straight day with declining COVID cases

Two women and four men tested positive for COVID-19 from the 664 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Thursday, April 1.

The six cases continue a trend of three straight days where the number of new infections declined, following ten on Tuesday and seven on Wednesday.

Twelve people recovered and were discharged, leaving 110 in isolation.

Barbados’ confirmed cases of COVID-19 now stand at 3 665 – 1 763 females and 1 902 males – with 3 518 recoveries. There were 42 COVID-related deaths.

The public health laboratory has so far conducted 142 193 tests.

To date, 63 735 vaccinations – 26 342 men and 37 393 women – were administered as part of The National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. (BGIS)
