Barbadian badminton player Sabeel Foster is determined to make his sporting dreams a reality as he travels to Denmark in hopes of playing the sport at the highest level possible.

Foster is returning to Denmark today after spending the last five years completing undergraduate studies in mechatronics engineering at the Southern University of Denmark’s Sønderborg Campus, a decision he made in his initial quest to be closer to the game.

Denmark has a close affinity with badminton and is one of the world’s leaders in the sport. Currently, 24 of the top 50 players in the world hail from the European nation.

Foster’s move to Denmark is not unique to badminton players like himself, but the 25-year-old has embraced the challenge of pursuing the highest level of the sport in Europe.  (NM)
