Wood takes over as CEO of Nation Group

The One Caribbean Media (OCM) Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Noel R. Wood to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Nation Group of Companies effective April 1, 2021.

Wood is an experienced leader having worked with the Nation Group over 30 years progressively advancing through the organisation. He served for 15 years as Group Financial Controller/Chief Operating Officer of the Nation Corporation. He currently serves on the boards of Innogen Technologies and SVG Publishers Inc.

Wood is a finance professional and chartered accountant with a strong record of financial management and strategy implementation. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB) and holds an MBA in Finance from City University, London.

He has completed several developmental and training programmes, including the Business Executive Program at the Ivey Business School, Western University, Canada.

Since joining the Nation Group he has been pivotal in the execution of strategies that have driven the success of the Nation Group, leading several key projects.

Wood said he is honoured and excited to lead the Group during this era of tremendous change in the media landscape and will continue to push the Group’s strategic initiatives which include Media Transformation and Renewable Energy Growth goals.
