Two shot in encounter with police at Chapman Lane

Two people were shot and injured during a confrontation with police at Chapman Lane, St Michael, around 8:45 p.m. today.

Police say one of their patrols encountered a man with a firearm in the track leading from Spencer’s Gap near Baxter’s Road.

The injured were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in separate ambulances, where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Lawmen are on the scene and investigations are continuing. (PR/SAT)
