Four new virus cases, nine people recover

Four people, all females, tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) on Monday, May 10, from the 436 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

There were also nine recoveries, while 111 people are in isolation.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is 3 950 (1 910 women and 2 040 men) and there have been 3 870 recoveries. The death toll from the virus is 45.

Since February 2020, the public health laboratory has carried out 159 886 tests.

As part of the National Vaccination Programme, 75 537 people have been immunised (first and second doses) against COVID-19.

Included in that number are 34 653 people who have been fully vaccinated during the second phase of the programme. (BGIS)
