Three women test positive for COVID-19

Three women tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday.

They were identified from 769 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

There are now 43 people in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 4,009 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1,937 females and 2,072 males) since March 2020.

The death toll from viral illness stands at 47.

The public health laboratory has so far conducted 168,904 tests.

A total of 77,494 people have been vaccinated under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. This includes 58,888 people, who have received both doses of the vaccine.
