Pudding and souse still a favourite

Some Barbadians are glad to be back out enjoying one of their favourite dishes – pudding and souse – especially on Saturdays.

For those providing the delicacy, they too are pleased to see the customers lining up again, and though the cost of the raw materials has increased, they say they are trying to hold strain and not jack up prices.

At The Village Bar in Lemon Arbor, St John, Daniel Goodridge and his girlfriend Danielle Cumberbatch were enjoying some pudding and souse after having not had any for the year.

“We weren’t sure where to go so we haven’t been for a while. In fact, we haven’t been for the year so far, but we wanted pudding and souse today, so we decided to come out,” Cumberbatch said. (RA)
