No new virus cases

Barbados has not recorded any new positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases for the second consecutive day.

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 367 tests on Monday, May 31, and no new cases were identified.

There are currently 39 people in isolation.

Confirmed COVID-19 cases since March 2020 remain at 4 017 (1 942 women and 2 075 men). Forty-seven people have died from the virus.

The public health laboratory has carried out 170 840 tests.

The number of people vaccinated under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19 is 78 633. These include 60 721 people who have received both doses of the vaccine. (BGIS)
