The issue of unvaccinated workers in the hotel sector is forcing a meeting between the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA) and Government.

Earlier today, hoteliers pressed Minister of Labour Colin Jordan to convene such a meeting, after they outlined problems being encountered with staff who refused to get the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination.

The concerns were raised during the BHTA’s annual general meeting, at which Jordan delivered the feature address. The hoteliers enquired about appropriate actions on their part to respond to the problem, since they pointed out that potential visitors were requesting that they be served only by vaccinated staff.
