Two new virus cases

Two new positive cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), a male and a female, were identified on Saturday, June 19, from the 421 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

There are currently 11 people in isolation.

Since March last year, there have been 4 043 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 1 954 females and 2 089 males. The death toll from the virus is 47.

The public health laboratory has carried out 179 913 tests since February 2020.

A total of 91 778 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered under the National Vaccination Programme, while 65 505 people (26 911 males and 38 594 females) received second doses and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
