Ten new COVID cases on Friday

Ten people, three males and seven females, were diagnosed with COVID-19 from the 1 048 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Friday, July 16.

The number of people in isolation is 141.

Barbados recorded 4 251 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2 063 females and 2 188 males) since March 2020. The death toll from the virus is 48.

Tests carried out by the lab reached 200 344.

Public health officials inoculated 97 714 people with first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines as part of the National Vaccination Programme. So far, 27 per cent of the population or 73 137 people received second doses and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
