DIGITAL IDENTIFICATION SYSTEMS can be extremely risky and if governments are not careful, they can compromise their country’s security.

Executive director of Privacy International (PI) Gus Hosein gave that caution yesterday while stressing that implementing digital IDs systems required the release of sensitive information to private companies whose systems could fail.
