UPDATE: Police identify body of woman found in The City

The woman who on Monday was discovered naked and in a “state of decomposition” has been identified as a Jamaican national, 44-year-old Odith Antoinette Nicole Henriques.

Police said Henriques was reportedly staying at a residence at Nelson Street, Bridgetown, St Michael.

“We have only just received confirmation that her immediate family members in Jamaica have been notified about the unfortunate circumstances of her death,” a statement from police said.

Police said Henriques’ body was discovered on Monday following a report after 5 p.m. ”that there was a naked, lifeless female body in a state of decomposition lying on the ground in the yard of an abandoned house at Graham Alley, Beckwith Street, Bridgetown, St Michael”. (PR)
