Pleas for more police patrols

Some residents and a business owner are calling for greater police presence in the Bayville, St Michael community.

Their plea came after a shooting and robbery of Bayville Minimart on Monday night during which two people were injured.

Spokesperson for the popular family business, Shaquille Drayton, who also operates the adjacent Zone Five Clothing store, was among those who frowned on the incident.

“It’s a tough time right now for the family, the staff and the people in the community. It’s very unfortunate what happened but fortunately, no one lost their life and there was no life-threatening damage. (TG)
