An orderly who died suddenly on the job at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), was identified as Ruben Wiggins.

A release from the QEH said Wiggins passed away early Saturday morning while carrying out his duties as an orderly attached to the operating theater.

“Every effort was made to resuscitate him by our medical team, but unfortunately was unsuccessful. The QEH, in keeping with hospital policy, will carry out the necessary procedures to determine the cause of death,” the release continued.

Nation News understands he is the brother of entertainer Peter “Ram” Wiggins.

The Board, management and staff of the hospital expressed their deepest sympathies to Wiggins’ family, friends and colleagues. (PR/SAT)
