A 73-year-old Guyanese man is the latest person to succumb to coronavirus (COVID-19).

Barbados’ National COVID-19 Public Adviser David Ellis made the announcement earlier today while speaking on Down To BrassTacks.

That brings the number of deaths related to COVID-19 to 57.

Additionally, there are 110 new cases of COVID-19.

The elderly man passed away around 10 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, while in primary isolation at the Harrison Point Isolation Facility, where he spent six days. The elderly man had a comorbidity and was unvaccinated.

Minister of Health and Wellness, Jeffrey Bostic, extended condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. (KG/PR)
