A final decision on the staging of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) domestic season is still pending.

However, BCA president Conde Riley says if matches don’t commence by late October, officials may be forced to abandon the season for 2021/2022.

“If we start around that time, we would be able to get in the majority of games and finish by January, but any time after that we won’t be able to finish the season this year.

“We could also take it into next year but these are strange, trying and unprecedented times, so we have to play it by ear and follow the sciences and do the best that we can,” he told NATION SPORT yesterday during a telephone interview. (AGB)
