Pastor Dr Jippy Doyle, the flamboyant and popular televangelist of the 1990s and early 2000s, who fell from grace and was convicted of raping a minor, reportedly died yesterday.

Reports indicate that the leader of Dominion Life Centre at Haggatt Hall, St Michael, was admitted to a medical facility about three days ago for treatment. He was 52.

Efforts to reach family members as well as senior officials at the church were futile yesterday.

However, on Facebook, a number of people expressed initial shock at the news and offered condolences.

When a Nation team visited the church yesterday it was closed. (MB)
