Barbadian boxer Cobia Breedy will have a chance at personal glory on October 29 when he opposes Ugandan Sulaiman Segawa for the World Boxing Council’s (WBC) Continental Americas Featherweight Championship in Washington DC, United States.

Breedy, 29, said the fight will be the biggest of his seven-year professional career and he is counting on his previous experience to deliver a win for his team and, by extension, Barbados.

“The fight was finalised two weeks ago but we knew about the opportunity for a couple months,” he told NATION SPORT.

“It was tough finding a good opponent since my last bout last September, but Segawa is a good fighter. Right now, I am staying ready and focused. I will listen to my coach Floyd Seymour’s game plan and try to execute well on October 29.” (NM)
