For the second time this year, the Psychiatric Hospital has suffered an outbreak of COVID-19.

Minister of Health and Wellness Jeffrey Bostic disclosed yesterday that out of the 427 positive cases recorded on Friday, 63 were from the hospital, which included 12 staff members.

Bostic also revealed that to date only 53 per cent of the staff at the Black Rock, St Michael facility have been vaccinated.

He said health authorities had successfully managed these outbreaks in the past and he was confident of success in this latest development. (CLM)
