Barbados will be looking to start their quest to qualify for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in 2023 on a winning note by defeating arch rivals Bermuda today at the Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium here in Santo Domingo.
The highly anticipated encounter is set to kick off at 7 p.m. and will be the second meeting of the two countries at the Under-20 national football level within the last 12 months.
Last year, Barbados came from behind to snatch a late 3-2 victory over Bermuda in Puerto Rico compliments a brace from Hungary-based professional Thierry Gale and a goal from Nigel Griffith.
Unlike in June when the senior national team played their World Cup qualifiers at the same venue, spectators will be allowed into the stadium for the matches which are set to be streamed live. (AG-B)
