The Barbados Association of Journalists and Media Workers (BARJAM) mourns the sudden passing of [47] year old, Warren Forte, known to most as D.J Jon Doe on Sunday November 7th, 2021.

This is indeed a shocker and a difficult time for the media fraternity, as in less than a week, we have lost two of our most well-known radio personalities, as we still continue to mourn the loss of veteran broadcaster, Dennis Johnson and only yesterday (Saturday), the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation family said their final good byes at the St James cemetery to Messenger/ Driver, Ian Jones, who had passed away in October.

Jon Doe was talented and skilled at his craft and for many years was consistently rated as the number one radio DJ in the country according to the audience system survey.

For many years Jon Doe–IN THE MORNING MAYHEM show was a staple among many listeners across all demographics as he filled the early morning 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. shift on STARCOM’s 95.3 FM station with his big voice and good musical selections.

But also, for those who work with him, knew not only of his talent, but of Warren’s quiet and unassuming demeanour when he was not on air, describing him as an approachable and warm human being who was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Morning radio will not be the same for many.

The media fraternity wishes to extend sincere condolences to his wife Tracy, family, friends and his Starcom colleagues.

May He Rest In Peace. (PR)
